Bogor, Rain City

Bogor is located in West Java Indonesia, near Jakarta. Can be reached using electric trains or KRL from Jakarta (see Jakarta Public Transportation). It's called rain city because Bogor has high rainfall intensity.

Bogor has many interesting destinantion likes Presidential Palace, National Bogor Botanical Garden, Nationa Parks Gede-Pangrango Mountains, National park Salak Mountain, waterfall, and special culinary center.
                                                                                             Bogor is located 54 Km far away from Jakarta. Flanked by two mountains, Gede-Pangrango mountais and Salak Mountains. Bogor in ancient had called Buitenzorg. Now Bogor city is developed as trade city especially in agribusiness trade. Bogor has many center of research in biological life science likes Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), National Bogor Botanical Garden, etnobotani museum, zoologi museum, soil museum, and many more.

The other fascinating destination is puncak area. It's a highland district that has many facilities for tour and picnic likes resort, villa, natural hot water, tea walk in plantation estate, and others.

Jakarta Public Transportation

A little confusing if you go around Jakarta by public transportation. But for further information about bus route and all information about Jakarta, you can contact Jakarta Tourism Center.

But for general overview about Jakarta public transportation, describing the kinds of public information may useful for you. The public transportation in Jakarta consists of some vehicles.

1. Electric trains
Electric Trains or KRL connected Jakarta with supporting town like Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, and Depok. For further information, visit www.krl.co.id. Ride from KRL stations that scattered in various locations on that towns.                                                                       




3. Busway
Busway is buses transportation facilities that have their own track and particular shelter. It's connected almost main highway in Jakarta. 3. Bus Transportation
There are some name of medium bus refers to the name of bus company likes Kopaja, Metromini, PO Deborah, Koantas Bima. And there are big bus too with company name PPD, Mayasari Bhakti, and Patas AC. 4. Angkot
Angkot is kind of minibus that has been modified with special arrangement chairs so many people can be transported. Angkot have route services and distinguished using color and route number.
